Dedication Sunday For New Lutheran Church In Lodgepole
An all day dedication event planned for the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lodgepole with services at 9 00 10 30 and 2 30 a.m. Rev Victor Moeller and Rev Carl Goldenstein will participate. Alfred Young of the Central State Synod will speak. The new brick and concrete edifice replaces the old frame church begun in 1921 with labor by members and area contractors. Ground was broken in 1954 and the structure cost about 60000 dollars. Five classrooms a pastor study and a fellowship hall fill the semi modern design with gifts from neighboring churches and a large illuminated cross atop the altar.
