State Federal Division of Agricultural Statistics reports three snows since Jan 1 improved the winter wheat outlook. moisture ranges from .40 to .80 inch across most of the state, with the Panhandle drier and some blowing. Mrs. Mary Magdeline Egging, known as Cheyenne County oil queen, was naturalized in North Platte. Born in Austria, she came to the U S at age three and learned of her citizenship after Ohio Oil Co drilled the Mary Egging No 1 in 1949. Her son John served in France, now near discharge. Lars Karlson of Potter also naturalized this week after arriving in 1949 to farm for his late uncle Oscar Redeen.
