Peetz Soil District appoints two on board at.
Lonnie Dallegge and Rodney Williams won terms on the Peetz Soil Conservation District board at the 26th annual meeting. Dallegge takes a two year term to complete David Ross's four year term after a resignation. Williams serves a three year term for Donald Mais whose term expired. Hubert Herboldsheimer re elected to the Board of Appeals for three years. District progress includes eight stockwater wells, 24 water storage projects, 720 acres contour farming, 48 960 acres detailed soil survey.
Bigger Wheat Surplus Seen
Lincoln report cites USDA estimates that U S wheat carryover may rise 50 to 100 million bushels above 818 million from last July. 1970 production slated at 1 456 million on 45 5 million acres, 12 percent below 1969, with exports rising to about 600 to 625 million bushels.
