Mr and Mrs M O Baker celebrate 60 years of marriage with a Golden Wedding Anniversary Open House on Sunday February 8 in the Methodist Church Parlors. They married February 11 1903 in Hastings Nebraska and moved to Sidney in 1919. Their children include Dr R S Baker of Denver Mrs Ruth Kepela of El Segundo Calif Mrs Thelma Spearow of Gurley and Alie Baker of Amarillo with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Ellen C. Johnson 86 widow of State Senator C. W. Johnson died Friday at her Potter home after a long illness. Rites were Monday at Potter Methodist Church with Rev O D Hoagland officiating. Burial in Potter Cemetery. Pallbearers were Byron, Billy, Rodney, Kenneth Johnson, Richard Dybdahl and Richard Van Pelt. Born in Denmark April 3, 1866 she came to the U S at 11, lived in Jamestown Kansas, married Charles W. Johnson April 26, 1886, homesteaded in Banner County 1888, later moving to Potter. Surviving: five children Joe and Leonard Johnson of Potter, Clarence Johnson of Lincoln, Fred Johnson of Modesto, Calif., Leola Dybdahl of Denver. 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Preceded by two sons and two daughters and her husband in June 1936.
