One Dead Four Hurt In Two Car Accident
A two car collision west of Lodge Pole at noon today left J Riggert of Hoskins Nebraska dead and four others injured. W J Riggert his wife and Oakley Riggert 19 were in the Riggert car with Oakley in very critical condition. Jim Banks of Chappell driver of the other car and his wife were injured. the Banks restaurant owner and his wife were en route to Sidney. The crash occurred on icy pavement as the Riggert car skidded and was struck on the right front fender. Nebraska Safety Patrol noted the day’s fatality count approaching 300 for 1957.

Nebraska patrol reports a car stolen in Sidney Thursday night was recovered Friday afternoon three miles east of Kimball. The vehicle, taken from the Horn used car lot, was found abandoned in a ditch along the old Highway 30 with the keys left in it. Sergeant Buschist provided the updates.
