Cheyenne County officials helped federal authorities disrupt a multi state bogus check operation expanding across seven states. A 19 year old youth remained jailed as a key suspect while others were arrested in Wyoming Colorado Nebraska Texas New Mexico Missouri and Illinois. Investigators estimate checks totaling thousands of dollars were passed using payroll checks on a fictitious Lewis Drilling Co of Oklahoma City.
