Damage Heavy In Collision At Lodgepole
A two car crash at an icy Lodgepole intersection Sunday afternoon left Doyle F. Kripal injured with head lacerations treated at Memorial Hospital in Sidney before release. Trooper Robert Cook said the 2:45 p.m. collision by the Catholic Church involved a 1966 Chevelle driven by Kripal and a 1965 Pontiac GTO driven by Eston J. Hixon. Damages were about 1500 dollars to the Chevelle and 1250 dollars to the Pontiac.

Rites Held For Rev Charles Strandberg in Potter
Services for Charles August Strandberg 88 of Sharon Springs Kansas were held at Potter First Lutheran Church with Rev Paul Reimers officiating. Burial followed in Potter Cemetery. Born in Sweden March 28 1877 he was an ordained minister of the Augustana Lutheran Church, ordained in Rock Island Illinois. He married Edith Fredrickson June 20 1920 and had children Ed Youngquist Verne Johnson Paul Strandberg and Philip Strandberg nine grandchildren survive. He served Berea Lutheran Church Chappell in 1923 among other assignments. Pallbearers were Carl Johnson Verner Johnson Lennert Johnson Alfred Strandberg Clarence Strandberg and Fred Elmquist. Local arrangements were by Craig Mortuary.
