Hunting License Fee Hike Urged
The Nebraska Council of Sportsman's Clubs urges higher hunting and fishing fees to fund a proposed one million dollar budget for next year. Surplus wartime funds are nearly exhausted, and the current license revenues would cover only about half. The council circulated a questionnaire seeking member opinions on raises to the liquidated damage from 10 to 25 or 50 dollars, a five day non resident fishing license at 3 dollars, and raising the non resident fishing license from 3 to 10 dollars, with a retrenchment option from the department.
