Property owners urged to pay district assessments early
Property owners in improvement districts Nos 19 through 29 have until January 22 to pay assessments and avoid interest. Payments posted by the City Clerk are subject to six percent interest while delinquent amounts accrue nine percent. After January 22 records transfer to the County Treasurer. Death rites planned for Herman B. Wittrock at Potter
Final rites set for 86 year old Herman B. Wittrock who died Friday at a North Platte aged home after long illness. Services will be at St. Pauls Lutheran Church Potter with Rev. Walter Bellmann officiating. Burial at the church cemetery under Gehrig Funeral Home. He had been at the North Platte home four months after six weeks in Sidney hospital. Born September 6 1862 in Missouri he lived in Missouri before moving to Cheyenne County 32 years ago. Surviving are his widow six sons Walter Fred Elmer Lewis Arnold and Clarence a daughter Mrs Howard Madden 29 grandchildren one great grandchild three brothers and one sister.

Judge Becomes III While Hearing Case
District Judge J L Tewell suffered a heart attack while hearing a case at the courthouse on Saturday afternoon. He was taken to Roche Hospital where his condition was described as satisfactory. He was placed in an oxygen tank briefly and removed Sunday after improvement. Dr. R E Roche said he will remain in the hospital for several days.

Schneider Rites Held On Monday
