Frontier Cancels Cutbacks In Nebraska Air Service

Frontier Airlines on Friday announced that planned cutbacks in Nebraska service set for January 1 have been cancelled. Revised schedule keeps Convair Service reinstated to Scottsbluff and maintains two daily Denver to Omaha round trips via Sterling Sidney Imperial McCook Kearney Hastings and Lincoln. A reduced single daily round trip remains between Chadron Valentino Ainsworth Norfolk and Lincoln with adjusted times.

Twenty five oil and gas lease and mineral deed transactions were recorded at County Clerk L Pindil's office during the week ending Dec 17. Two contain provisions requiring site actions within three to four months, one in northeastern Cheyenne County and one in the county's southwest.

Red 12 Minute Meters Installed Across Sidney

New parking meters with red tops were installed this week at 35 locations in Sidney. Lt. Ervin Smith, in charge of the meters, says the red meters create 12 minute zones. Ten meters are at the Post Office and five near 10th and Illinois.

Driving While License Suspended Leads to 30 Day Jail Term

Clifford Draper of Gurley was jailed 30 days after a drunken driving arrest on a revoked license. He had been found guilty of drunken driving, with a six month license suspension, and a later accident report led to the 12 month suspension following his jail term.

Mrs Carl Jacobs Dies At 51 Funeral Pending

Mrs Alta Jacobs 51 of 1733 Ist Sioux Villa died today at Memorial Hospital after two weeks of hospitalization following surgery. She was wife of Carl Jacobs, Sioux Ordnance Depot employee, and daughter of Mrs Bertha Bahr Lodgepole. Survivors include daughter Gwen, two brothers John and Henry Bahr, and four sisters all of Lodgepole plus Mrs Rudolph Selcher Denver. Funeral arrangements are pending at Craig Mortuary.
