Sidney High School razed after 60 years in Sidney
The 1200 block King Street building once housed Sidney Junior High and St Patrick's grade school, built in 1912 based on local accounts, and opened 1933 as the present Sidney High School. Workers from Filsinger Excavating began demolition this week, salvaging lumber and pipes while noting the sturdy, well built nature of the stone structure and its historic pool and gym.
