Postmaster General John A. Gronouski announced a contract to Royal Corporation, Tulsa, to build the Potter Potter Post Office on Sherman Street. The $22,000 project will lease space for ten years with renewal options, complete by July 1, 1965, and involve 2052 interior square feet plus 4528 square feet for parking and postal vehicle movement.

Cheyenne County Chapter of the National Foundation of Infantile Paralysis held a dinner meeting at the Sidney Country Club with over forty attendees from Potter Dalton Lodgepole Sunol and Sidney. Patrick J. Heaton chaired. Mrs. Ned Swaeby reported over 1600 in local funds and last January’s drive yielded just over 3000 in donations. Four Cheyenne County residents received assistance. no new cases. Jack Thurow chairs the 1965 drive. Jerry Dykman announces King and Queen March arrangements with school candidates to be chosen in January and the dance moved to March after basketball season. January campaign dates include 16 and 23 for St Patrick’s and Sidney high schools to sell blue crutches. Mother’s March on January 29. Lincoln’s James Edington spoke on Birth Defects Center work at Omaha and showed March of Dimes materials. Heaton noted distribution of March of Dimes cards to students and local stores for fund collection.
