Essig Store Robbed In Suspected Amateur Heist
The Essig Store was robbed Monday night with an auto rope razors knives and other items taken and the cash register smashed beyond repair. Local believes the act was the work of an amateur with an upstairs window as entry point. Police warn merchants to check weak fasteners as such robberies have followed in the past.

Auto crash on Break-Neck hill injures Della Finn near Sidney
On Saturday night December 3, an auto accident on Break-Neck hill three miles east of Broadwater seriously injures Miss Della Finn whose parents were well known in Sidney. Albert Finn was thrown fifty feet but escaped serious injury. A second young man was badly bruised and crawled a mile and a half for help. This marks the third accident on that hill in two years.
