Mosee Shutts Sentenced for Horse Theft
Mosee Shutts pleaded guilty to stealing horses from Mrs. Ingraham and received one year at hard labor in the state penitentiary. The value of the horses was assessed at $235. Shutts and Polley will be held in the county jail as witnesses against John Bartling in the same offense. Arthur Rooney was discharged after slashing a grader during a drunken spree. the assault case against him was dropped. Antelope Hunt Party Returns to Sidney in Triumph
Carroll Purman of Washington D C joined Johnny McIntosh O D Lyon and Jack Washburn after antelope Tuesday. They found a herd on the divide southwest of Sidney, killed a buck and returned to the city in triumph. Purman went home Wednesday morning.
