He had recently moved from Sidney to Idaho Springs to lead an Episcopal church, after resigning from Christ church two years earlier. Struck down in the street, he died soon after at a Denver hospital, his frail health blamed on intense study. He was a brilliant, educated man with a progressive streak and helped oversee the handsome Episcopal rectory built during his pastorate.
