Hearing on power lines in Lincoln on Basin project
A Nebraska Power Review Board hearing in Lincoln Tuesday will address Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s plan to build 148.5 miles of 345,000 volt transmission lines from the Laramie River Station near Wheatland to a Sidney substation and onward toward Stegall and Sutherland. The project, with estimated cost over 100000 per mile, targets completion by November 1979 with right of way aims next year.

The project reconfigures metals and wood spaces, creates a finishing room with exhaust and filters, adds a doorway between auto and metals areas, and relocates air systems and storage to reduce hazards while saving about 600 dollars on electrical work and 3,000 on carpentry.
