Marriage of Marcia Flessner and Irving Arnquist
Miss Flessner of Gurley and Arnquist of St. Paul wed at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in a candlelight ceremony. The couple's families and friends attended as Rev. Harlan Brei officiated and Louis Flessner sang. The bride wore an ivory Chantilly lace gown with a chapel train. attendants wore green copper peach gowns. The reception followed at the church parlors and the couple plans to live in St Paul after a honeymoon in Central City, Colorado.

Community Christmas Cantata at Peetz High School Gym
A 7 p.m. Sunday cantata titled Carol of Christmas by John Peterson will be performed at the Peetz High School gymnasia. A 35 voice community choir from Community United Methodist Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, directed by Mrs. Richard Gillham, with Mrs. Douglas Robirds on piano, will be joined by other locals. Sylvia Tadolini will narrate, and during intermission the Junior Choir will sing. A fellowship hour follows in the school cafeteria hosted by United Methodist Women. Public invited.

The Holy Trinity Lutheran Ladies Christian Woman’s Guild held its Christmas luncheon with a program by fifth and sixth grade girls from Lorenzo. New officers include Mrs John Rhine president and Mrs Alvin Bauer vice president with others serving as secretary treasurer and chairs. Outreach will deliver fruit baskets to shut-ins before Christmas. Earlier, the Sewing Committee gave lap robes to Lodgepole Plaza and Memorial Homes residents.
