Flood insurance approved for Sidney residents in hazard area

Sidney officials announce federal flood insurance eligibility for property owners in the flood hazard area between Union Pacific tracks and Lodgepole Creek. Policyholders may insure homes up to 235000 in structural coverage at 25 cents per 100, plus contents limits. nonresidential structures can insure up to 100000 in structure and 75 cents per 100 for contents. Rates may rise after a forthcoming study, and some areas may face higher rates, though coverage remains available. Royal Globe Insurance is the underwriter.

Lisco man among survivors of Guam B 52 crash

Larson named to Cheyenne County ASC Committee

Local NRD seeks funds for Kimball dam feasibility study

The South Platte Natural Resources District filed with the state coordinating agency for funds to study repairing the Oliver Reservoir dam near Kimball.
