Mrs Joy Knackstedt was elected president of the B P O at a Monday Elks lodge meeting with 50 members present. Dyer Ketchum becomes first counselor and Virgil Knackstedt conductor, Lloyd Harlan begins three year term as trustee. The group plans donations to King’s Daughters and Muscular Dystrophy Drive and an installation event set for Jan 14.

Thirty five persons attended the Christmas dinner and party for Greenlees Inc. employees at the Sidney Country Club Thursday evening. Ladies received red roses and tables were lit with candles and decorations. After dinner, guests enjoyed games and social time.

Past Matrons Club held its annual Christmas luncheon and party Monday at Mrs. Glenn Patrick's home with 24 members. Guests included Mrs. Chester Peterson and Mrs. Kenneth Bagby. Tables featured evergreen centerpieces with red Glo candles and snowman figures. Favors were bells with sparkles and red white canes. Eastern Star Kensington served luncheon.
