Truck Rolls and Grain Spills Near Gurley

State Trooper Max Ibach reports a grain spill when Ernest F. Heine, 63, of rural Dalton, swerved to miss a dog and overturned a 1962 Chevrolet farm truck three miles west and 3.2 north of Gurley. The truck rolled onto its side, spilling much of the load. no injuries. Estimated damage $100. Heine cited for driving without a license.

Sidney School Vocalists Set for Dec 15 Christmas Concert

The Sidney Public School Choirs present an annual Christmas program Tuesday December 15 at 7 30 p m in the Jr High Auditorium. The high school choir performs a selection of carols and sacred pieces with soloists Greg Luce and Cheryl Gordon. Madrigal, seventh and eighth grade choirs, elementary select chorus, and combined high school and eighth grade numbers highlight the program. The event invites the community to share in music and seasonal reflection as the choirs emphasize a varied, festive presentation with a nativity scene and lighting effects.
