Western Nebraska farmers close 1931 facing unprecedented agricultural conditions from pests to price slumps. Foreclosures are the lowest since 1921 postwar depression, bankers report tighter loans but foresee a prosperous era ahead, with hopes for improved market quotations in 1932.
Fat lambs raised in Cheyenne county farms led sales at Chicago and Omaha markets over three weeks.
