Officers Fail to Recover Loot After Belden Raid
Cheyenne county officers could not locate any stolen loot believed hidden by Lloyd Belden, a fugitive captured in a raid on the John Bartling ranch east of Dalton. They searched the ranch area on Wednesday without success for loot or firearms Belden reportedly possessed. Belden is now at Scouts Bluff county jail in Gering, arraigned Monday and pleading not guilty on a $2500 bond.
