Christmas Tree Trip By 4-H Junior Leaders In Nebraska
4-H Junior Leaders visited Chadron State Park in Nebraska for a Christmas tree cutting trip. Twenty four participants collected fresh ponderosa pine for families and local groups. The outing featured good weather and exercise, with a note about a tree theft. A feature on flame retardant treatment and tree lighting basics followed, plus guidance on hay forage quality and a factor of beef production per acre. The extension bulletin also discusses family farm transfer steps and upcoming events in December at the Extension Office.
