County officials note a state law wiping out most delinquent tax penalties ends after December 31 and became effective March 19 last year. Youth Forum Session Attracts Sixty Boys
Sixty boys attended the regular Youth Forum meeting in the city auditorium basement Tuesday. The advisory board and members were served a fine dinner by the American Legion Auxiliary. Lending Machinery Put Into Operation
Following a district conference of corn and wheat loan officials in Sidney Tuesday it was announced that applications for commercial loans on wheat must be made at the local ACP office in The Telegraph building on or before Saturday December 17. Applications for farm storage loans must be in by December 20. All loan papers must be completed and in the mail before December 31.

Diogenes Finds Honest Person in Pocketbook Return
Jeanette Jones daughter of Mr and Mrs C C Jones is credited with locating an honest person. Tuesday evening she found a pocketbook containing seven dollars. Receipts showed the purse belonged to Henry Ronneker of Sidney. Thursday morning the purse was returned to Mr Ronneker before he knew it was lost.

Four Year Terms for Sypherds in District Court
Richard and Charles Sypherd are sentenced to four years in the pen after juries found them guilty of burglary. The Charles Sypherd verdict came at 3 a.m. Thursday after fifteen hours of deliberation. Vehicle Inspection Deadline Looms for County Owners

John Dobson Funeral At Nine A. M. Today
John James Dobson, 68, longtime Union Pacific employee and former cook at The Sidney Union Pacific hotel, died in a local hospital after a month of illness. A Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, Elk, and Eagle, he will lie in state at the Catholic church Friday at 9 in the morning with Rev. Anton Link officiating. Man Fined $10 For Game Law Violation
Arthur Hadwiger was fined 10 dollars and costs by County Judge Robert A. Barlow on Tuesday for shooting game birds without a permit. Game warden C. C. Hurling from Scottsbluff arrested him. Hadwiger claimed the birds were eating his feed, but the signed complaint left the judge with no alternative.

Sixty-one years ago last Monday an 18-year old boy left Sidney for Rapid City with a hand press and type. He later ran the first Rapid City newspaper on Rapid Creek. Al Gossage, brother of Joseph Gossage, helped found the Rapidity Weekly Journal with George Darrow. He just marked his 79th birthday in Rapid City.

H. Moore jailed for thirty days on a shoplifting charge by County Judge Robert A. Barlow. Records show thirty four prior criminal complaints, mostly for shoplifting. Moore was arrested by Sheriff W. W. Schulz after taking a leather case from a counter in a local drug store.
