India tests U S flour standards with western style baking drive
The Indian Food Ministry and Roller Flour Millers Federation sponsor a nationwide flour testing program, aided by Nebraska’s Marx Koehnke and Western Wheat Associates. Over 100 mills have contributed, with results prompting new official flour standards and preferential US wheat allocations. India remains the second largest overseas user of U S wheat, importing about 85 million bushels annually.
