Lieutenant Ritchie Transferred Through Sidney to Ridgeport

Lieutenant William Ritchie was transferred Tuesday in Sidney en route to Ridgeport to settle affairs. He enlisted as a private and earned a promotion to first lieutenant after serving at Fort Snelling. He will be stationed at Fort Dodge, Des Moines, with a chance to join an early French contingent. Mrs. Ritchie sent her husband away with blessing and returned to Grand Island.
