North western Cheyenne County sees new field activity as W. C. McBride and HLM Drilling complete No. 1 Richards showing initial production potential of 480 barrels per day. The discovery lies near Farr Field but separated by dry holes, at J sand levels between 5230 and 39 feet.

Delinquent Personal Taxes Hold Cheyenne County Treasury Busy

Cheyenne County Treasurer M M Inhelder reports over a quarter of a million dollars in two days as the first half of 1959 personal taxes came due December 1. About 96 percent of payments covered the full year, with November receipts totaling $474,358.24 in new personal and real property taxes.

Sidney Couples Win Florida Trip

Mr and Mrs Alten Kornik join Mr and Mrs Harold P O'Connor and Mr and Mrs H Alvin Miller of the Miller Implement Co of Sidney as they are named to attend the J I Case Company's 1960 World Premiere in Bal Harbour Florida. They will join about 7000 Case dealers from the US Canada and 15 foreign countries who earned Case Eagle or 52M Sales Awards and will attend the companys national sales conference. The Sidney group departs Dec 10 and returns the following week.

Oil Production Sets Record for Second Month in Nebraska

Wichita Firm Submits Low Bid for Atlas Missile Launchers

The Martin K. Eby Co of Wichita submits the apparent low bid of 22.14 million dollars to build nine semi hardened Atlas missile launchers in a 60 mile radius of Warren Air Force Base Cheyenne. Nebraska site near Kimball to employ about 100 workers with completion around May 1 1961. Other bidders include Diversified Builders Inc Pacific coast and George A Fuller Co. Los Angeles. Former Governor Keith Neville Dies in North Platte

North Platte Nebraska former Democratic Governor Keith Neville age 75 died Friday after a decline following surgery. Neville served Nebraska from 1917 to 1919 at 33 the youngest governor and later sought higher office including bids for the U S Senate in 1954 and a period as Democratic national committeeman.
