Grain Circulars On County Agent's List
University of Nebraska agronomy department releases a new circular outlining oat barley and spring wheat varieties tested in out of state sites. Authors A F Dreier and P L Ehlers note 1951 was generally favorable for spring grain despite eastern Nebraska planting delays. June weather supported good yields and high test weight while Victoria blight spread reduced oat yields in southern central and southwest Nebraska. The circular includes summaries of acre grain yield weight per bushel lodging and height for all spring grains.
