Rex Fischer to Play in Shrine East West Game
Nebraskas Rex Fischer, a 160 pound halfback, earned a starting spot in 1955 and led in rushing as a key two way contributor. He passed for 157 yards, caught 112 yards, and returned kicks as he helped Nebraska reach an undefeated Big Seven start before injuring a shoulder. Fischer, a pre medical student and third brother to play for Nebraska, will compete in the Shrine East West game in San Francisco.
