Mayor Uptegrove led a full day of decorations, speeches, music, and a banquet at the Vienna Cafe, with bands, veterans, and citizens celebrating together and pledging support for the 71 men kept together for the company.

Infant son of Mr and Mrs Martin dies of cholera infantum
Seven month old Baby Martin, son of Mr and Mrs Arthur Martin of the north side, died last Friday from cholera infantum and was buried from their home Saturday afternoon. Reverend L EB Lewis of the Methodist church officiated. A ten year old sister is the surviving child, and the family had been local only a short time, away from relatives. Mr Martin is a carpenter with T Antrim.
