Sidney man killed in Lincoln Highway crash near Sidney
Lester Hazel died instantly when a car driven by Matt Hammer collided with a buggy near the fair grounds on Lincoln Highway west of Sidney. Karl Kratz was shaken, eight in the Hammer party injured by shock. County Attorney Radcliffe ruled the death an unavoidable accident with no inquest.

Second Auto Tragedy Claims Sidney Resident
A morning crash east of Lodgepole on the Union Pacific crossing killed Liz Frost, a Sidney contractor, and seriously injured Carl Schmidt. Man Hangs Self in Lodgepole Thursday
