Western Nebraska communities that have not yet applied for WPA projects risk missing funding. City, county, school, and irrigation districts in the region have already requested 114 million dollars in projects. Applications are still being received at Alliance headquarters and boards are urged to act to secure federal cost shares, especially for farm to market roads. The federal contribution varies with the use of unskilled labor.
