Peculiar Accident Breaks Arm Of Gurley Farmer Ernest Frerichs
Ernest Frerichs, a well known Gurley district farmer, suffered a compound fracture of the left arm in a peculiar accident east of Gurley Monday evening. Driving west with sun setting, his vision was impaired as a grain drill on an approaching truck extended into his car. The drills struck his left arm, causing serious fractures and shock. He was taken to a local hospital and, while reported to be progressing, will be unable to use the arm for several weeks.
