Promised Land as a Biblical Vision and Reality
A meditation on the meaning of the Promised Land, contrasting popular myth with historical conquest. The piece notes the area’s harsh past and changing present, Joseph’s Israelite context, and modern reflections on genocide, faith, and morality. It references Joshua, Jordan, Canaan, Sermon on the Mount, and the idea of good arising from evil.
