Town and Country Market awards the top carcass trophy and plans to buy all entries, paying 41 50 per cut for choice or above and 39 for good.

Carnival Worker Arrested Fined After Tavern Incident
A 37 year old carnival worker from Los Angeles was fined 10 dollars on three counts disturbance intoxication and carrying a concealed weapon after Sidney police arrested him early Wednesday. Lt Ervin Smith said Swede Thedford was involved in a dispute with his wife outside a local tavern and was found with a three inch knife.

Parochial Schools Adopt Modern Math Across Diocese
Beginning with the upcoming term the teaching of modern mathematics becomes compulsory in all Catholic elementary schools in the Diocese of Grand Island. For 1964-65 committees adopted the Greater Cleveland Program for grades one through eight and teachers will attend one of three workshops in Lincoln, Grand Island, and Sidney led by Sister M. A 17 year old Big Springs youth, Willard L Ulrich, pleaded guilty to careless driving after a 2 35 p m collision on Highway 30 three miles east of Sidney. He was fined 10 dollars and costs. No injuries or vehicle damage reported. A separate hit and run inquiry into a sidewiping near Chappell yielded 90 dollars in damage to Carl Dorman’s eastbound car with no suspect identified.
