Organized Ag Dates Are Set At Meeting
Western Organized Agriculture annual chautauqua for western Nebraska counties will run November 14 through 19 with meetings at Harrisburg Harrison Chadron Sidney Bridgeport and Oshkosh. Auto Thief Pushed Into Hands Of Law
A passing motorist inadvertently aided law enforcement by pushing a stalled car to Sidney. The thief, Jack Snyder, had stolen a Cheyenne auto and was arrested within hours near Potter after Don Goodwin helped push the vehicle to town. Cheyenne police then traveled to Sidney to pursue the suspect.

Curless Rites Held At M E Church Tuesday
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. J A Curless, 47, who died Friday at her home after a brief illness. The ceremony took place at the Methodist church with Rev. Peter E Spear officiating. Interment was in Sidney Greenwood cemetery. Gehrig Funeral Home directed arrangements. Survivors include her husband and a large family, with four brothers and one sister attending.

Incubator Provided For County Doctors
The child health division of the Nebraska Department of Health has provided Cheyenne county with an incubator to be available to all doctors in saving the lives of prematurely born babies. It was brought to Sidney by Dr. B. H. Grimm, who said the county medical society would decide where it should be located. It will be available without cost to any doctor in the county needing it and can be used as a pattern to build their own incubators. The Nebraska state department notes about 23,000 babies born yearly in the state and about 1,000 die before age one, with premature births responsible for about a third of these deaths.

Matting Of No 19 Nearly Done Gurley Strip Is Completed
Oiling of highway No 19 between Huntsman and Gurley was scheduled for completion last night. The strip from Gurley to north of Dalton should be finished within twenty days. Detours have been required on No 19 between Huntsman and Dalton for weeks while rerouting and regrading proceed. When done it will provide a hard surfaced route to Alliance and Scottsbluff. The all weather highway is expected to draw tourists in coming years. A contract was let in Morrill county to mat the last gravelless strip on No 19 in that county.
