Don Quinn Wrecks Auto In Accident Near Sidney
Sheriff W W Schulz reports a no injury crash near the Sidney Beef plant after a brake shoe struck the car driven by Don Quinn of Sidney. The vehicle, total loss, left the road and struck a bridge railing before ending in a ditch. Quinn was alone and the mishap occurred on the bridge north of the Burlington underpass.

Paul Hakes of Sidney, operator at Ready-Mixed Concrete Company, was injured yesterday around 9 30 am while repairing a tractor motor at the cement plant. His right hand was struck by a fan blade, risking the loss of a finger. Hakes is hospitalized in Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital in satisfactory condition. his finger reportedly mangled and set for removal. This follows another accident this week when James Kaus lost an arm in a conveyor incident. his condition is listed as satisfactory.
