Seniors enroll August 28 morning, juniors August 28 afternoon, sophomores August 29 morning, freshmen August 29 afternoon, with makeup on September 1. New pupils bring birth certificates. non resident cards for out of district students. Junior high registration September 1 at 9 AM for 7th grade and 10:30 AM for 8th grade. Ledgepole Valley Saddle Club members dominated two horse shows held last week. M. W. Osborn’s Arabian stallion Royalmire Deukhi won first in his class at the Frontier Riding Club show in Cheyenne. Al Wadi placed third in the kids pony race. At Sterling’s fair and horse show Mrs. Neil Dunlavy’s entry was third in the five gaited class and second on Wednesday, with Al Vach earning a first and a second in the races.

Rudd and Nelson Announce Long Railroad Retirement
Two Union Pacific veterans, Anton A. Rudd and Louis P. Nelson, have filed for retirement. Rudd began as a boilermaker helper in 1902 with gaps before rejoining in 1922, later serving as passenger car, wood machine, and freight car man. Nelson started in 1922 as a freight car man. Rudd, 74, married to Dessie Pearl Grovesnor with two children. Nelson, 65, native Nebraskan, married to Jennie June Troloch with four children. Retirement dates set for August 30 and August 16 respectively.
