Double Rites Held For Crash Victims
Double funeral services were held for Otis C. Dimick 64 and his granddaughter Mary Lee Wolf 3, fatally injured in a Shel oe Nebraska auto crash last Wednesday. Others in the Wolf family survived and were reported out of danger after hospital exams in Kearney. Dimick was a Sidney machinery dealer and farmer earlier, later moving to California and Oregon coast. Mary Lee Wolf was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Jack Wolf of Ogallala. The inquest found Dimick blameless.

Wild west style crime story unfolds near Lewellen as Bert Orr and Alva Orr aid in tracking three men spotted on Highway 27. The posse including the sheriff and county attorney forced the trio to surrender at gunpoint. Judge Nisley presided in North Platte, sentencing Jack Wall to 18 months to two years in the state reformatory and Arnold Iverson and Jack Sanville to 18 months in the state penitentiary.

Sidney Derby Entrant Eliminated In Akron Heat
Kenny Hulmbock of Charleston West Virginia won the national Soap Box Derby championship in Akron Ohio Runday. Robert Montgomery Sidney's entrant finished second in his first heat and was eliminated. Montgomery's car carried the name The Sidney Telegraph but weighed nine pounds over the 250 pound limit at test. it weighed 245 pounds in the derby.

Mrs Morrow Rites Sunday at Potter Methodist Church
Funeral services for Mrs James E Morrow 75 were held at the Potter Methodist Church with Rev Homer Hix officiating. Interment was in Potter Cemetery. Craig Home for Funerals directed. Survivors include husband James E Morrow two daughters Ruth McNew Emma Pearson and son Paul. two brothers in Iowa and many relatives. Born Lizzie Sophia Herboldsheimer March 25 1872 in Northeast Iowa she moved to western Nebraska as a young woman and later married in 1898. She joined the church early and remained active until ill health.

A truck carrying 12 tons of army high explosive ammunition frightened motorists in Broadwater and across Garden County. Charles W. Sheidt of Lincoln pled guilty to drunken driving in Garden County Court, paying a 75 dollar fine plus costs after being arrested near Broadwater and jailed in Oshkosh.
