Wheat Growers To Tour For Foreign Market Prospects
Two Nebraskans joined a five man survey team to study wheat selling potential in ten European nations. Carl Bruns of Chappell and Earl Lester of Edison will represent Nebraska on the panel. The group also includes Dr John Schlenberger, Walter Graber, and Art Cummings. The Ogallala session noted promising results from testing Cheyenne and Nebred wheats in Italian labs. Bruns said Italian flour technicians will visit Nebraska late October. No farm visits were planned. The 1957 Nebraska state convention will be in Ogallala in early December. Membership drives begin September 1 in 17 counties.

Reckless driving conviction follows repeat offense
Walter Lawrence of Smyrna North Carolina appeared before Cheyenne County Judge C W Smith after an arrest by the Nebraska Safety Patrol. He was fined five dollars and costs on August 12 for reckless driving on a county road south of Colton. In county court he pleaded innocent to a second offense reckless driving but was found guilty. the fine totaled one hundred dollars and costs.

Fire Victim Still Critical Funeral Held
The condition of Mrs. Pauline Kittleman 46 remained very critical at Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital after a house fire north of Sidney that killed her husband George 50 and their four others including twin daughters born May 10 last year and a son Harley Sinclair 17. Funeral services for the four victims were held at 9 a.m. today from the Craig Mortuary with burial at Greenwood Cemetery.

Two Cheyenne County Drivers Lose Licenses Under Point Plan
Two more Cheyenne County motorists have had Nebraska licenses suspended for one year under the demerit point system. Norman Gutherless of Ordville had 12 points from two DUI incidents July 28, 1956 and August 4 this year. Gurleyue Gilbert Sorge’s 12 points included speeding and traffic violations from cases in Kearney Scottsbluff and Chap pell courts between 1955 and 1957.
