The 1911 Cheyenne County Institute opened on Monday with 50 students attending sessions led by Supt. A. T. Hukill of Waterloo Iowa Supt. I. G. Wilson of Pawnee City Nebraska and Mrs. W. S. Bostder of Lodgepole Nebraska Classes covered grammar arithmetic geography agriculture reading history and school management The institute aims to uplift education and draw educators to Sidney and surrounding areas with a large roster of local attendees and instructors.

Primary election totals in Cheyenne county reported
In Cheyenne county the Tuesday primary drew high interest with 708 Republican votes and 108 Democratic votes. Fishman led with a 190 majority and 308 plurality, Borgquist had 208 majority while Doran had 179. Prohibition and Socialist votes appeared, and no People's Independent votes were cast.
