Woolsey No 6 Shines in Allchin Field Prospects

Completion reports from Morrill and surrounding counties show Skelly Oil Co. wells with potential above 1,000 barrels per day in Kimball and Banner fields. Notable results include Woolsey No. 6 at Allchin Field with 1,049 bpd, Woolsey No. 7 finished and No. 8 drilling, and several other completions with initial outputs from 20 to 212 bpd plus higher prospects pending further development.

Sidneyite Passenger Among Plane Crash Victims Near Potter

Three men escaped serious injury when their Bonanza plane failed to gain air speed after takeoff from the Sidney airport. Pilot Tom Muir Norton Kansas treated for chest injuries. Passengers Clifford Moody Sidney drilling superintendent for The McDaniel Drilling Co and Thurmond Gay Denver were kept overnight for observation. Crash occurred twelve miles north and three west of Potter in Kimball County near the Cheyenne County line.

Minor Accidents Reported In Sidney Sunday

Two minor crashes occurred in Sidney and were investigated by the Sidney police. Gary D. Lacey of Kimball stopped for a red light at 13th Ave and Illinois St when he was rear ended by Francis J. Schmitt of Sidney. Schmitt’s car damage was listed as 21 315. A second incident involved Dion M. Cawthra parked by the Bike Roller Rink being bumped by Robert E. Farmer of Sidney with no damage estimate reported.

Accident Aft Potter Is Reported Here

Sgt. Mel Busekist of the Nebraska Patrol reports an accident in Potter last Friday around mid morning. Fred S. Schamps of Grand Island backed into a service station while Anna M. Herboldsheimer of Potter turning onto an access road struck his car. No injuries. Schamps car undamaged. Herboldsheimer’s damage listed at $125.

May List Wrong Man in Truck Accident Report

The Telegraph reports a May accident naming Carl Kurz as the truck driver. Kurz says he was neither the driver nor the owner, stating the police report misidentified him as the parties involved in the minor traffic incident.

Robert Joe Shoemaker, now in Hattie B Munroe Home in Omaha, has an enlarged heart and awaits examination for potential treatment. Survey Made For New Stop Lights In Sidney Illinois

The State Highway Department checked traffic volume on Illinois Street (Highway 30) over the weekend as city officials consider installing traffic signals at 9th Avenue and Illinois Street. City Manager Murrey Fuller said the council wants signals at that corner by the post office, adding five blocks of signals on Illinois Street from 9th to 13th Avenues if approved. The state evaluates both pedestrian and vehicle traffic before approving signals.
