Lincoln reports urge anglers to report any six pound white bass caught at Lake McConaughy to Game Commission personnel before mounting. McConaughy has stocked striped bass for three years, releasing about 26,300 fingerlings this year and totaling over 43,000, with several big white bass reported but none verified. Striped bass, a saltwater variety, have adapted to inland waters and can reach over 100 pounds.
The Centennial Round-up Amateur Golf Tournament starts this Saturday at Hillside Golf Course in Sidney Neb with 125 entries. 18 hole medal play is Saturday, 27 holes for the championship flight Sunday, plus a five o’clock driving contest.
