Nancy Taylor hosted a bridal shower for her Aug 16 wedding to Douglas Leopold of Chappell. Edward A Ness, 70, former Chappell resident, died in Oregon City of a heart attack, with services held there. Garden Club met Aug 5 at Mrs Eugene Pyle’s for a patio brunch and discussed waste reuse and environmental topics. Purple ribbon demonstrations highlighted by Valerie Paxton, Beth Cheleen, and others. Senior and junior 4-H judges awarded top ribbons in livestock, foods, clothing, and home living events.
