13th Avenue Warning Lights To Be Installed Late This Year

Egging Co. Expands Plant and Diversifies Production

Joseph Reiners Buried After Sudden Death at Loveland

Funeral services were held at St Patrick's Church for Joseph M. Reiners 69 who died suddenly last Sunday at his Loveland Colorado home. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery. Survivors include his widow two daughters four grandchildren four great grandchildren four sisters and one brother. A daughter died in 1946. Pallbearers named.

Lieberman Fined After Odor Hearing in City Court

Abe Lieberman of Scottsbluff was found guilty in a North Side odor case over a hide house at 11th and Forrest. City Judge Roy Gish fined him 100 dollars plus 4 dollars costs. Lieberman plans to appeal to the district court through attorney P. J. Heaton Sr.

Major oil discovery looms in Kimball County area

In Kimball County a potential new oil field emerges as Edward Mike Davis of the Denver Independent reports a No. 1-B Lukassen well near Buffalo Field may indicate intensive development drilling. A partial test recovered 1,650 feet of oil from the J sand, while the discovery well No. 1 Kosch pumped 311 barrels daily. Nearby operators plan rapid action if early results hold. In Scotts Bluff County the Minatare Field draws attention with Banner Oil Co and Jack Prather drilling the No. 1 Wilson well west of the field. initial wells show promise with 150 barrels daily on No. 1 Schanaman and swab tests on others. Rural Farmers Home Administration Office Opens in Sidney

Clarence R. Nalls of Chadron is named supervisor of the new Farmers Home Administration office in Sidney to serve Cheyenne Devel Garden and Kimball counties. The office at 935 8th Avenue operates 8 am to 5 pm with Lydia Crouse as county clerk and will provide supervised loans and technical help to rural families unable to obtain conventional credit.

Panhandle forecast fair with warm next days
