Polio Victim Makes Long Trip To Attend Reunion
Rex Burt of Newport Oregon survived a 1949 polio attack that left him using a wheelchair and crutches. He attended the 25th anniversary reunion of Sidney High School Class of 1939 in Sidney, traveling by plane to Denver and by car to the Ft. Sidney Motor Hotel where he greeted former classmates. Sylvia Lobb Underdown, a classmate and organizer, accompanied or assisted in the event.
