Big Fish Are Being Caught During Lincoln Nights

Anglers faced hot weather but produced notable catches across Nebraska. F. W. Feneley of Grand Island sparked a walleye record challenge with a 9 pound fish south of Overton, while Spike Evers, E. C. Peck, and M. Harris reported other large catches. Catfish dominated the action though mossy, shallow lakes hindered some spots, and fishermen in Scotts Bluff, Banner, Kimball, and much of southeast Nebraska faced heavy angling pressure as conservation officials noted overall good water conditions.
