Notice in the county court of Cheyenne County Nebraska that a petition seeks Mary C. Reker as administrator of the estate of Martin Henry Reker, deceased. Hearing set for August 21, 1954 at 10:00 A.M. before County Judge C. W. Smith. attorney J. L. Thorpe, 97-9-101.
On Aug 9 1954 at 7 30 PM in Dalton Nebraska Town Hall the Chairman and Trustees will hold a public hearing on an application for a beer license under the Nebraska Liquor Control Act to sell alcohol by the drink within Dalton including beer and a pool hall license for W C Christensen leasing the Anton Schmitt business at Lot 8 Block 4 Original Town Dalton. Evidence under oath or by affidavit may be presented. By order Village Clerk F E Mayer.
Sidney Nebraska city council met August 2 1954 to award Consolidated Chimney Co a 5820 bid for demolishing the municipal electric plant chimney and authorize advertising for airport hangar bids for August 23 1954. Mayor J Fred Thompson presided with councilors Dorwart Lowe Foland present. Miller absent.

Mrs. Howard Berry and children and Mrs. Rodney Williams traveled to Scottsbluff on business. Len Pike recovers from recent illness. Linne Fehringer arrived for a twenty day leave from Fort Riley Kansas. David Wieser returns home from Germany via New York and Denver to Camp Carson for release. Multiple family visits, travel to Denver, Broadwater, Saratoga, and Estes Park. 4-H camp, weddings and social events noted along with visits to Greeley and Denver.
A birthday party was held at the Howard Lindsay home Friday evening. Harmon Fairchild chauffeured Mrs. W. A. James, Mrs. Ruth Dickenson, their children, and Miss Glenda Norris to a pinochle party. Mrs. Henry Theophilus and Mr. W. A. James traveled to Denver and Colorado Springs to visit sister Mrs. Nel James.
