Gasoline Fire Sparks at Burlingfton Engine Room
Section Foreman Kelly, filling a gasoline tank at the pump house, spilled vapors that ignited after he started the engine. Flames swept from the engine room, burning Kelly and a nearby gasoline tank fire spread to the windmill tower. Fire crews contained the blaze. Kelly suffered burns but is not believed to be fatally injured. Sheriff Lee also sustained burns.

Gentry Brothers Bring Grand Animal Show To Sidney
Gentry Brothers famed exhibition returns for a 16th season in Sidney on Monday August 28. The show features about 350 animal acts including dogs ponies monkeys camels and five baby elephants. Special features include five juggling Normans Indian Club Swingers jugglers acrobats and the Yoshamite Japanese Troupe eight hip and head balancers. A grand free street parade will precede the show at 11 a.m. Tents are waterproof with seating for about 4 000.
