Geo. Franklyn McCreary arrives in Sidney with equipment for the U S A Theatre and will oversee rush to open a matinee. United States Amusement and Hotel Co leases the theatre and will manage by McCreary. A new three story hotel for sixty rooms will be built on Lincoln Way between Brewer Garage and Tobin building, starting late August or early September.

Bernita Ruth Potterville, daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Potterville, was born May 26 1917 in Sidney Nebraska and died July 27 1917 at Elm Creek aged two months one day. Funeral services were held at the Christian church in North Platte with Reverend Ives of Sidney officiating. She was laid to rest in North Platte cemetery. The grief stricken parents receive sympathy from many friends in the loss of their first born.

The funeral of Marie Cunningham, twelve, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Cunningham of Kimball, was held Thursday at St Patrick's Church. Rev. Father Link officiated High Requiem Mass.
